A New Voice

Leading Solano College Forward

Solano County is full of young people who need a genuine path forward, and career changers who need a fast, affordable way to learn something new and put it to work. Whether it's a recent high school graduate exploring what's next, or an adult retraining for a completely different field, our community college should meet them where they are — with real programs, real support, and real outcomes. I've spent my career believing higher education is one of the most powerful tools we have for opportunity. As trustee, I want to make sure Solano Community College keeps being that tool for everyone who needs it. That's why I'm running!

Your Voice

Solano County is my home. Having worked alongside healthcare professionals and local educators, I have seen firsthand how our current board has gaps in advocating for the needs of today's students.

I bring over a decade of hands-on experience inside the University of California system — one of the most complex public higher education institutions in the world. As a Healthcare Risk Manager and Policy Analyst reporting directly to a Chief Medical Officer, he has overseen multi-million dollar budgets, administered state grants, and led quality improvement initiatives spanning ten UC campuses.

Beyond administration, I'm also an educator and researcher with a background in economic history, bringing an analytical lens to questions of workforce trends, institutional investment, and long-term community development. This combination of policy analysis, data literacy, and classroom experience means I understand Solano Community College from both sides — as an institution to be governed responsibly and as a place where real students build real futures.

As a longtime Fairfield resident, I have a personal stake in the quality and direction of Solano Community College. I understand the workforce needs of the region, particularly in healthcare and technology, and have the institutional knowledge to translate those needs into actionable board policy. I am not a newcomer to higher education governance — I am someone who has lived and worked inside these systems and is ready to put that experience to work for Area 4.
